| Starting with the U9 division, SCSC offers
youth the chance to play competitive soccer. Competitive
teams travel throughout Central Florida for away games and stay
in St. Cloud for home games.
Kids moving up from U8 to U9 can choose to try-out for a
competitive team or continue to play recreational soccer.
Away games will be played at
various fields in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, and
Brevard counties and home games at the Stephanie Rothstein
fields. New U9 competitive teams will stay in-house for
the Fall season and have the option to travel starting in the
Spring season. If an entire competitive teams sign up for
Coach Chris' summer camp,
they can train together with an assigned coach.
Competitive teams plays against some of the best teams in
Central Florida. Therefore, competitive teams have different guidelines than the
recreational teams. Coaches will determine the amount of
playing time for each kid based on their attendance, effort, and
other factors. While the main intent for competitive teams
is still to have fun, a greater focus is placed on trying to win
and thus the coach will allocate playing time accordingly.
All registrations and tryouts will be held at the Stephanie
Rothstein soccer fields. All players should wear shin
guards and bring water for tryouts. New players must
bring a copy of their birth certificate for proof of age.
Coaches are needed and training is provided. If you are
interested, please enquire during registration. |
